Helium leak testing for refrigeration & HVAC components
Custom vacuum-chamber helium leak test machines for refrigerant-carrying parts: coils, pipes, manifolds and compressor assemblies.
Refrigerant leaks cause warranty claims and lost cooling performance, and new low-GWP refrigerants make tight joints even more important. Our machines test each brazed assembly in a vacuum chamber so the whole part is checked in one cycle, and an optional helium recovery unit recovers the helium for reuse.
Key features
- Vacuum chamber helium testing of the complete part
- Suited to evaporator and condenser coils, pipes, manifolds and compressor parts
- Optional helium recovery to cut gas cost
- Gross-leak check before helium fill to protect the detector
- Recipe selection for each part variant
- Leak-rate value and pass/fail stored for every part

Questions about this machine
Can the machine report leak rate in grams per year of refrigerant?
Yes. The reject limit can be set from your refrigerant specification and the result shown as an equivalent leak rate.
How much helium can recovery save?
It depends on chamber size and cycle count. Tell us your parts per day and test pressure and we will estimate the saving for your line.
